Theme & CSS

This web template uses both ICE_CompuNet theme and external CSS file to control some page elements. The theme defines background, page banner, bullets, navigation buttons and horizontal line. The CSS file defines the font properties(type, size, color, line space, etc) and page/cell margins throughout the website. You may add or delete styles to suit your website need.

If you prefer to just use and code your own external CSS file, just select No Theme in the Theme property box (On the menu bar, select Format - Theme) The external CSS file can be found in the include folder. The file already included some basic styles (line space, font properties, and page/cell margins) You may need to create your own navigation and bullet style. The graphic elements(optional) - bullet, navigation buttons... used in the ICE_CompuNet theme can be found in the _themes folder.

 

W3Schools(www.w3schools.com) offers great tutorials on CSS as well as other subjects.  When creating your style sheet, please check their web site or your CSS book for syntax and browser compatibility.  You can also find the current browser statistics at their web site.

Change Font Type & Size

External CSS: Go to "include" folder and open "style.css" file. You can edit CSS directly on the style sheet.  If you are not familiar with CSS syntax, you can go to Format menu, click Style, and then click Modify button.  When you update the CSS file, all other pages that include the CSS page will be automatically updated.

 

Embedded CSS: If you would like to use different style for an individual page, open the page and switch to HTML view.  Delete <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="include/style.css">  and type your own CSS inside the header section or switch back to Normal view and go to Format - Style on the menu bar to create a new CSS for the page.  The following is an example of Embedded CSS:

Change Copyright Notice

Go to "include" folder and open "copyright.htm" file.  When you update the copyright notice, all other pages that include the copyright page will be automatically updated.
